Bad luck about your holiday being over. We have school holidays here until the end of January. School goes back on the 28th January (which is a Friday, but that is just for the teachers). Students start on Monday 31st January.

Our little grand-son Ryke starts school this year. I can't believe it! He has grown up so quickly.

I'm on semi-permanent leave I think. There is no work at the moment for me, so I'm enjoying being home.

Love and Happy New Year Chris

I can understand from a parents point of view, and a teachers point of view. But now all kids have graduated from college.

I taught kindergarten, but am now retired. I loved teaching, and especially five year olds! They are so sincere, lovable, and tell it like it is!! LOL I miss teaching; it was my "calling", I suppose. They were all "my children", and I loved each of them dearly. The Lord gave me such "maternalism",
I sometimes wondered if it were a blessing or curse!! LOL But,
I think it came in handy with regards to my kindergarteners in the transition of leaving mom and starting school for the first time. I do remember I needed the holidays and summer break badly to "recoop and regroup"! LOL

I never dream I would be a teacher less work with Junior High kids. This job sort of fell into my lap. But it is good. Being a librarian I see all the kids about 800. Right now the kids are working on their History day projects. So this keeps me really busy helping them do their research. I have worked in a library since I was in grade school when I would go with my who was a school teacher and then work with the school librarian, and in high school and in college. I learned how to repair books and we bind them, but no one does that any more. I love to Read. Have a great day Angel

Cindy I can see that it would be hard to have to go back so soon - I know having time to play is great for you - I do know that you must enjoy being back to school, too. Here is hoping you get to play when you have the time. Hugs!

Thank you Shirlene. It was great to have time at home with my adult kids and with the grand kids. I got back to school and my Library was in a total diaray. Books everywhere . The Plumbers had been in working on the pipes and took all the books off the shelf by the windows in no particular order. I will be working for days to get things back in order. Never a dull moment. Thank goodness my DIL did not have to go back to work yet and came to help me. hopefully by Wednesday things w ill be back in order. I did not even touch my machine last night just to tired.

It was hard for me to get up and go to work yesterday - knowing that I would have to put in a full 5 day week now that the New Years is over. LOL Enjoy your library and the kids.

Thank you, but I enjoy my work because I know that I will have periodic days off. I don't know if I could go back to my work as a med Tech which is what I did in my 20's.
