CLEANING POEM

I asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess
He asked if I'd been 'computering',
And I had to say 'yes'.
He told me to get off my butt,
And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up....
The smudges off my mouse.
I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick...
I was just admiring my good work
I didn't mean to 'click'.
But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got so way into to -
I was into it all night.

So nothing's changed except my mouse..
It's as shiny as the sun.
I guess my house will stay a mess....
While I sit here on my bum.

Yep, the computer has taken over my life so much that hubby had to buy me a laptop to keep me in the living room a little more!

That was cleaver. Have come up with a general cleaning schedule years ago that keeps stuff caught up. My DH is a clean freak so I ignore the dust just to get him to do that for me. Still think dusting is just like rearranging dust particles and that is a waste of my time.

No, got it in an e-mail ages ago. But it fits me to a T. You would think I had written it but I am not that clever.

Soon as my hubby gets home, I am going to show him this, he is going to enjoy it so, as he is always saying that I spend more time in front of computer these days, than anywhere else !!! although I do not realy agree with him LOL.
Thanks for making us see ourselves, I realy enjoyed this.
Hugs and God bless.

I had my daughter get me an air purifier for Christmas to help keep the dust bunnies under control. Wouldn't it be nice to have the vacumn that cleans everything itself. When I get extra money to get one ha ha

It was great to wake up to a laugh and see myself in this poem. It probably won't change my habits.
Thanks

Very Cute. I was just trying to clean out a room and every time I pass this room I have to come in and look at something on computer.

Love the poem, LOL, my DH has a motorcycle that he says always call his name from the garage and I believe the sewing machine and computer is always calling my name. So we both have to set aside time to actually get things done, especially since we both retired. Thanks again

I've noticed you are in Australia. I'm from Japan and I live in Tweed Heads NSW for almost 3 years now. Love and hugs, Yoriko

Marg, this is so very true - I noticed that I have a place worn on my key board - where my thumb hits the space bar and on the mouse too from clicking it so much. Hehehe!
