I enjoyed seeing everyone's efforts in the Candle Challenge before Christmas, although I didn't take part. My candle is still waiting for adornment! I'd like to suggest that we choose one simple and quick to stitch design and see how many different ways it can be used. If you like the idea, would you like to suggest a design? It should ideally be from this site.

My suggestion. What about any of the Redwork designs, or the applique designs??
Hugs Yvonne

I thought a redwork or applique design would be good.

I'm also in for a challenge. Great idea about using Veronika's designs. There are so many things on here.

Maybe something we all use eg. hand towel, tea towels, bath towels, aprons etc. etc. I'm sure there will be many more ideas.

Love and blessings Chris

Sounds a good plan. It needs to be something as many as possible might use & also 4x4 or less. Some don't fancy redwork, so does that cancel those out as well? Trying to think of something starting with S (for Sue's idea)-how about Sun? Those with littlies or GKs could then make it a part of a baby theme, those who garden could add it to a garden scene??? Must be lots of those that have come up as freebies frequently. We're choosing a specific one, I guess, once we come up with one? Looking forward to hearing more ideas.

Hi Sue, do you mean that we choose Redwork, or Floral design, or perhaps an Applique. Then see what we make it in to? Is this what you want? Or did you want to specify the exact embroidery, then see what we make it in to?

It looks as if plenty of people want to play! Now lets have some suggestions for a design, I think it should be a simple one (perhaps redwork or applique.) I wonder if any of you clever digitisers have a design we could use - it would be great if it is a new design that has not been used uet!

I'll have a go - may help me learn to 'think outside of the box'. That's the challenge I've given myself this year (Wish I knew how to add a smily face - it would be laughing it's head off!!)

Good idea to use a design from this site - (one of Miss Veronica's I hope you mean). That would be a nice thank you to her for her generousity.

OK - I'll have a go at it, but do feel that it needs to be one of Miss Veronika's designs. If it is the redwork or an applique then are we to all use the same design?

Hi Sue and fellow Cuties..
If we go for valentines that gives us 4 weeks
or the next big one is easter (I think lol)
I have a design that I have just digitized I would just need to test stitch before uploading to DBC
I use Embird so I cannot supply art format perhaps somebody may be able to help me there
I think if we go for a 4x4 design then everybody can use it and let there imaginations run wild
I have attached a photo please let me know your thoughts..
or if anybody can suggest one of Miss Veronicas Designs perhaps we can vote to insure everybody gets it quickly.. I have a membership here so I have all of the designs at the moment..
Hope you dont mind me making suggestion
It may inspire over ideas from Cuties lol..
Big hugs from London
Maria xx

Right then - I've looked at all of your suggestions and had some discussions by PM. I've made an executive decision that the design should be one of Miss Veronika's from either redwork or applique as these areas offer more opportunities to "think outside the box". Personally I'd go for something floral with Easter coming up. Shall I suggest some designs and we'll vote?

We all take the same design and try to use it in a less than obvious way. We may change colours, or put the design on an unusual item. The idea is to let your imagination take over rather than make the design look like it does on the site.
by noah 10 Jan 2011
oh thanks i get it now i thought we had to make something from a design & send it somewhere!!!

I'd love to join in! My choice would be the Sunflower, after all Spring and therefore Summer is just around the corner ... isn't it?

My choice would be the sunflower. Hugs Yvonne

I like the applques - they could even be mixed, but if we are to decide on only one - I too could go for the sunflower.

my suggestion is we vote the design we want to use to make it the daily free also
