This is my latest major boo boo. The letters are the problem. I took them down way past their capability. This is a cross stitch font in my soft ware and it plainly states min 1.2 in and I reduced it to about 1/2 in and I broke a titanium needle, a first!!! needless to say , I did not have the Manuel open. I looked it up after the fact!!! This was not my towel, so I guess I will just give it to her and hope for the best!!! No Charge!!

Kay it still looks good - I know what you mean - when it isn't your best work - do what you feel like you should and what will be best for you and your client. Can you in any way do any free hand stitching to make it look better for you? *4U

Katy, I don't see where the problem is. It looks great. She will love it just like the rest of us do. Good luck. We all learn something new everyday.

It's beautiful! Did you do the basket and flower by hand or use your machine? It's very nice.

It looks really nice, but I truly understand what your saying about having to tell her because you feel that it is not your best work and your just an honest person. My mother always said honesty is the best policy. I love the basket design. Looks like hand embroidery that we had growing up. I remember my mother had a table scarf that had a design that looked a lot like it.

This picture looks great but in the larger picture you can tell a little bit with the lettering. Overall it really looks good.

I did a similar design by hand with embroidery thread AND ribbon. I still have it, to nice to use. I should dig it out and post it for others to see. Sorry this didn't work out the way you wanted it to. I am sure if you tell her its not your best work, she'll understand. After all its the thought that counts.

We're always hardest on ourselves. I made the picture larger and it still didn't look bad to me. If she's a non-embroiderer she'd probably not even 'see' anything wrong with it Her view would be much different to the eyes of an expert!
