This is a *very bad scan* of one side of the walker caddy I made for my Aunt Kay. She is 83, and went for a ride in a hot air balloon a few years ago, and has been in love with hot air balloons ever since. I digitized the hot air balloons myself from pictures. I just wanted to show you about stitching on felt, but I'm not sure this scan does it justice. I also posted the other side, which is an equally bad scan. Sorry for the quality, I'll try to get photos with my camera later. Marji

What a sweet idea! I don't think it is a bad scan at all. You did a beautiful job.;)

I think your hot air balloons are very beautiful, though you say your scan does not entire justice to them. Your aunt must have been very happy with your present.

The sky is not always sun-clearly and in such a way looks as the balloon between the clouds would fly. It looks very more naturally. Flowers for you!

Marji, this is beautiful and believe me - no picture or scan will ever do the embroidery work justice - I know - I have been trying to capture the essence of them for awhile. Hehehe. This is wonderful and such a great job of digitizing - please keep up the good work and I am sure your Aunt Kay treasures it and get a big kick out of telling people about her ride - when they comment on your work. *4U

Thank you all for your very kind comments on my project!! Yes, my Aunt Kay is a wonderful lady, I love her very much. These balloons were done in Floriani thread, so the colors are very shiny, like rayon. I'm also using these balloons on a quilt for her, this was a test-sew I decided to make into a walker caddy. Flowers to all for your sweet comments, much appreciated. I'll try to go into more of how I use felt on the forums, when my head is a bit clearer. Marji
