what was the name given on the disc. i have bought a few and the results are not good. ie sewing to tight and not sewing where it should be. i've found it's best to buy of sewing sites then you know what your getting.

Depending on when you bought the CD you can file a complaint with ebay to have your money returned because its considered defective. They will contact the seller on your behalf.

my daughter brought me a design pack because she wanted them. wasn't e-bay,another one. 24 name brand designs for $10.00. They were terrible, thought it would reck my machine. Did not fill in and thread on thread, open stitches. Refuse to use it. If its to good to be true, you get what you pay for.

You have found out the hard way not to buy designs from ebay unless the seller is someone who also has a reputable site that you can see elsewhere. There are many unscrupulous people who are either selling someone else's designs as their own , or are selling copywrited designs on ebay. Check out all the sites given here, ask questions about favorites, and you'll do better.Jo

I must be the exception. I have bought many designs on ebay and have been pleased with all but one and that had more to do with the format than anything else. They indicated they would provide them in shv format and that is exactly what I got. It was a single shv file not in an executable or zip file that creates the required shv menu system that the Designer 1 uses. But I also had the same problem from a website that provides freebies that has been referred to on this and other sites. I assumed that professional embroidery designers knew what was required for the shv format. I now know that is not the case; most designers are unaware of the shv menu format. Now I ask many many questions before I buy anything. I have found ebay to be a great source for machine embroidery designs and the majority of the designers have been very helpful, including Designs by Sick and San Francisco Stitch Company. - Aileen

I have not bought from ebay but I do collect a lot of free designs from the different sites and yahoo groups. You will learn who does great designs and who doesn't, so try the free designs before you purchase anything. If a design is skipping stitches, make sure you are using a new needle and you have adequate stabilizer, and a full but not over-full bobbin. All of these can cause skipped stitches. There are also ways on Ebay to contact people if they don't respond to your attempts. Try going to their forums for help with that. Good luck
