Dilceia, being born & raised in the South here in the USA, most of us have all our lives called everyone,"honey, dear,dahling,sweetheart, babie, etc" We hug, we love, we cry together, we laugh together, educated, non-educated, rich or poor it doesn't matter, we are mothers, wives & sisters & we care about others. I'm guilty of everyone but have never been called or asked if I was a "woman lover.

Could it have been a language thing?
I have been married for almost 40 years,,,,and I "love" many women. My daughters, my sisters, my friends.
Beyond that, even if you did love women, so what? Love in any form is so much better than hate.

Life is too short to worry.

Different places throughout the world use words in different ways. As many say around me Dim Prob - no problem. Just keep on being yourself you are great

Don't worry Dilceia; it may have been a language or cultural thing. Some people don't say 'love' unless it is for romantic reasons, but others of us, say it when we are fond of another person and appreciate that person.

Do not worry about such things! We all know what you meant and most of use would say the same thing about our friends! I love my friends OR they would not be my friends. Friendship does not come cheap! You need to be able to depend on, trust, and have things in common with true friends! Friends are very hard to come by and easy to loose if you are not a true , honest to goodness friend! Cherish your friends! In this life most people do not have alot of real friends. Our different languages and cultures are different as we have a group of members from all over the world. It could have been easy for someone to misunderstand your meaning but do not let it bother you at all! I am sure that time and age will teach some of the younger ones just how few and far between real friends come along! You need to cherish all of the true friends that you really have! I love my best friend like I would a sister. After all we have been best friends for more than 50 yrs. We know everything about each other and are always there when we are needed! She is a 3 hr drive from me now but I hope in the next yr that I will be able to move back home. By the way, we have never had cross words with each other and have never even been upset with each other! Our personalities are completely different and we do not have the same taste in anything. We have been friends through all of the trials and errors in our lives! Glenda is older than me!!!!!! This is a running joke between us! She was born on Christmas Day and I was born on December 26th! heehee

I think, and this is my very personal opinion , because we share so many things in common we are a big family, and family loves each other. But, I do not am going to abate me. I am a very happy woman, married and much sweetheart by my husband and my children. I am dear for all of my friends and family. This person ("barbara68") should be a person "hardly sweetheart".
Here, in our dear community, live in different and distant countries. The only way to communicate us, it is through the word writing. I like telling to all the how much I like. I like all of you, and it is logical, has always those friends who we identify us more. Like staying here in the community giving many flowers. When I sympathize myself, I pass the day walking in all postages to give flowers that friend that I chose for the day. Certainly, to barbara68 will not win anymore no flower of me. Don't mind her Dilceia, some people just need to be mean to make themselves feel better than others. barbara68 must have a problem with people who care about others even though they have never met.

Dilceia, Unfortunately there are people in the world that for one reason or another can not accept that people can get a sense of friendship from others over the internet. So they read a simple statement like you made as a reason to judge. I have friends all over the world, that I have never met in person, but I've had the chance to share prayer with, emails with, and even messages on facebook and a Christian film site I belong to. We have grown to love each other as sisters and friends. I care about them as if they are part of my family, as much as I care for my true brothers and sisters. I would dare anyone to attack me like you were attacked about the fact that I tell these friends I love them, or that they say they love me. Because I am not shy, nor am I hurt by their words. I instead would feel pity for them, because for some reason they don't understand "agape", which is the love of friend that truly comes from God. Whatever happened in their lives that has made them unable to accept love from another as friendship is something that will keep them trapped for the rest of their lives. You just keep on loving people, because this love is from God and is a good thing.

Dil, don't let such nonsense upset you. I wonder where the minds are of people who have such thoughts. I hope that this comment meant something different than how it is being interpreted but I read it three times and I can't see any other meaning. Those of us here that have shared ideas and learned from one another do in fact love each other. We are like sisters and sisters do love each other.
Perhaps she will come to understand what you mean when you tell another cute that you love her.
