I have ventured into the 3-d images. I keep having a problem with birdsnests. My tensions are adjusted accordingly for the project, and it doesn't help. Any suggestions?

Do you mean the things like free standing lace, or embroidery on organza, things like butterflies, dragonflies, etc? I have looked at those and wondered how they'd turn out. Maybe not so good, huh? I may have answered my own question. I am working on structured caps. Backing doesn't seem to make a difference. I backed off my tension ALOT. Everything seems to be running smooth. Experiment 3 continues results. Thanks everyone. Still accepting any tips.
