I have already had to replace one set, which cost me $20 through a dealer here in Canada. I now need another set and was wondering if anyone could tell me somewhere to order them from. My dealer says he has never had to sell any of these items...meaning nobody has this problem with the hardware. I do a lot of embroideries and appliques, and the screws keep cross treading on me...even though I am not tightening it very much. Any adivise or help is greatly appreciated.

Oh Sorry. My name is Tracie and I live in Newfoundland Canada. Strange I have not noticed this site before. Probably because I do mostly applique, but do love embroidery too.

Have you tried www.janome.com then click Canada and ask the question. I also have a Janome and love it. I don't get to use mine as much as I would like. They also have embroidery patterns you might want to see.

I did not see the connect to Canada button, but I will double check again. Thanks so much for the replies.

If it's the bolt and nut, can't you take it to a hardware store and ask for help in fitting? I would assume that Janome uses standard fittings.

I am very lucky, the Janome dealer is only 5 mins away. I ordered one a couple of months ago, cost me $10 au, but I had to wait about 4 weeks for it. I simply took the screw from my tiny hoop and used it while I waited for hte new one. Helen

I too wore out this screw in the first year of my machine. I managed to get a replacemnet direct from Janome here in the uk. The screw only cost £2 but they wanted £6 postage!! Just a tip. When you can locate them buy at least 2, so you will always have a spare.

I needed one and ask for one at a Janome dealer that also repairs these machines and she had them.

This happened to me twice before & my husband bought the screws for me @ Canadian Tire! For .12 cents each.
