Embroidery Library has some Delft Blue designs that I would love to make, but I know my thread collection doesn't have the beautiful shades needed to do them. How do I search for the colors if I have no idea what they are called? I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say, I'm getting a little old and foggy.

Embroidery library has a thread exchange (I think that is what it is called.) You enter the number of thread they give you in Maderia (again I think that is the one they use. The will tell you.) and you can then convert it to another brand. Sometimes there is no conversion. I love these Delft designs myself and plan to buy them, too! Good luck! I hope I made a little sense! lol ~ Nancy

isn't there always another color of thread that we need, or want? LOL - but, you are right. The designs are very pretty, and would make lovely work. I all ready have a few of them, for I got them some time ago. I just need to try to organize all of my threads - again.

Can't help you a whole lot as I tend to use what I want to, (or have!), rather than what the design calls for. Have just been shopping for threads yesterday and added lots to my collection, but I'll never have every colour I'd like to have!

Judy, on everyone of the design pages - they also have a color change sheet in Maderia rayon, 40 wt - at the top of the color change sheet - there is a statement that says this - then right next to it - is a Thread Exchange link - click on it and you can bring up a few of the main brand thread companies - you can enter the thread color from the color change sheet and it will give you the color of your thread - that would closely match the Maderia brand.
