I know that people have much worse things to worry about but I really don't want to have to go back to nursing, My embroidery business is not doing well at all and I really need to have a settlement that will allow me to continue to work on my business. I have been praying so hard that I think God might have me on mute by now.

Alice.

Alice, Sometimes we have to let God work it out. I KNOW, as Karen has said, HE definitely DOES NOT have a mute button. LOL... He knows what is best for you. We will continue to pray for you. Hugs, Terre

Alice, I am praying for you, along with the others - please let us know what happens dear.

This is the prayer that I use daily that helps me to accept God's will for me:

"God, I offer myself to Thee—to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always! God, take my will and my life. Guide me in my every day life. Show me how to live. AMEN"

Well with all your wonderful people praying for me I must assume that God has plans for me that I am not aware of. My conference did not go well, it seems my career is not worth anything. I have had to leave the decision for a couple of weeks to see if the other side will move on their offer, but it is unlikely. It has made me absolutely convinced that I will not go back to work with Queensland Health as it seems they are determined to make my life difficult at every turn. Now I must find some other way to make a living. This I will do, scary but exciting I guess. But I will not work for that organisation ever again and if they think that offering me a pittance for a pay out will force my hand and make me come back they are sadly mistaken, what it has done is make me more determined.
Thank you all for you prayers and for being here for me to vent to.
Alice.

I'm so sorry to hear of your hardship. But, as you say, it may open doors you don't even know are there. Prayers and hugs

I too am sorry to hear this - however - when one door closes........as they say another opens. Keep asking for acceptance of God's will for you, dear.

I agree with what Shirlene says as one door closes...
Life sometimes takes turns we cannot plan for. Good Luck

I was so hoping for better news....my hubby and me went through a similar situation, I was sure we would win....when we didn't I was shocked, but I had a huge cry and then decided to move on and continue to ask God to guide our life, there's no better place to be than in Gods will...wishing you a great future in your new season of life.

Alice, you must BELIEVE God is real. You must BELIEVE God has your best in line for you. You must BELIEVE God will be faithful to you. I know that BELIEVING is so extremely hard when you cannot SEE what is coming. God will NOT forget His promise to hold you...you only have to keep your eyes on Him and be amazed at the glory that He will put on this situation. Hang in there.

Alice, I only really got to know you today because you changed your avitar to the Australian flag. I can tell you are a caring, gentle person who trusts in God and prays. It is really hard when our plans don't work the way we want them to. But, don't worry. He really is in control. He has plans for you and your family that you don't know yet, but he will make them known to you before very long. Just keep you heart and your mind open. They will be come evident. God will grant you the peace you need until then. You can even be happy about it, because He has promised it - Right Here:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:4-8
I'm excited to see what He has planned for you!

Hope you feel better today, I love what Noah wrote, God does not have a mute button!!!! Things happen for a reason, Do you like children, maybe becoming a health teacher, I do not know how things are in Australia, but in USA they give you a temporary teacher certificate, to finish your school and become a full time teacher, of course you have to like it( it is an idea).

I would like to thank you all so much. It is an amazing gift to have a family of prayer warriors on my side. I of course already knew in my heart what you have all said, but sometimes it really helps to bounce it off true friends. I will be just fine, of course I will. I am not without skills, I have many skills that I could use to gain employment. I guess what I am worried about is settling for something that does not fulfill me. I am however absolutely sure that with God and the prayer warriors on my side I will be guided in the right direction.
Love and Gods blessings to my wonderful friends.
Alice.
