Crafting (any kind of cratfing) is so exciting as any number of people can start out with the same materials to use and the chances are you will end up with as many different finished items as the number of the crafters taking part.
I always told my craft students not to be a slave to the materials they were using and that no craft should stand still - it needs to be kept alive by new ideas - (but don't loose sight of the basics!).
