has anyone here ever used one and does it really hold the fabric as well as the advertisement says it does? I'd hate to spent that much money and then not like it!

I have it, and it does hold the fabric, my problem is i bought mine too soon, the new magna Hoop really is 5x7 area, mine it is not, the inner frame takes a lot of space from the embroidery area, i was very disappointed becuase before i bought it i ask the sale person and she said it was a 5x7 area, it WAS NOt, so if you decided to buy it make sure is the new model.

I , like Mary51 , have the one that "says" it is for the 5x7. The frame fits inside the 5x7 area and the actual sew out is much smaller . And yes, it is good to do ribbon and cuffs and stuff in. It does hold pretty good.

We have had several discussions about this hoop. I find it interesting to go back and see what has been said along the way. Perhaps you will, too.;)

I have one brand new and offering it cheap to who ever wants it. I don't like it and want to get rid of it. Suzanne

I have one and I was very disappointed with it. I now wish I had not purchased it but the price was high even though I did find it on sale. *
