I have a thread stand and use it all the time I find it very convenient to line up my spools in order of use on the rack rather than have them rolling all over the table. Saves a lot of time. Have had mine for several years, son made it just like the purchased ones.

My hubbie made me one that holds 20 threads and I wouldn't be without it. I set all my threads in order at the start of project and then I don't make a misteke with colours like I did in the past You will get used to it .. *4U

I use to use them and loved them. I actually had them hung on the wall. All thread in clear view to select from. I now store them in plastic pull out bins. Each bin has a different color range. My husband kept saying that the treads would get dusty. And I heard other people say that the treads would age faster if out like that and exposed to sun. At times I wish they were still on the racks.
