This is the 1st block that I have finished of this Island Sunrise paper piecing that I started in October. This is the 1st time I have done paper piecing and it is a little bit of a challenge. Only have 44 quarter blocks left.

paper piecing is my next challenge but I must admit it kinda makes me nervous. I tried a heart block by eleanor burns (of cours) and it came out perfect butttttt I have no idea what I did *giggle* so coudos to you and keep on goin........

I'm trying to learn to like it, but it is growing on me. It took me a little while to figure out that everything is backwards. Hopefully, I will get it down before the 48th quarter block is finished.

Well - just something else I want to do - I had purchased a design to give it a try - it is still in the box, and have not even taken the wraping off of it. LOL

Very eye catching! Can't wait to see the finished quilt. I've never tried paper piecing- wouldn't know where to start. Great job and looking forward to seeing your progress!
