Hoping that some UK Cuties can help. I am looking for a UK site that one can buy machine embroidery supplies from eg: stabilizers etc. Something like Worldweidner . Thank you in advance. Sarah

I can fully agree with Edith. I order most of my materials there, not only are the much cheaper than the craft stores around us but they are extremely fast as well. It has been known to receive the goods the next day!

I find Lords Sewing very good. They sell Floriani threads and stabilizers Free postage if order over £30 or £2.50 if under.

I agree with both suet and edithfarminer and add another supplier I use and that's Jaycotts.
I have not had any bother with any of these suppliers, just the best of service both online and by phone (and I have only ever felt they had all the time in the world to deal with whatever I was asking - calling me back if necessary) .
Hope this info is usefull

Good price for Solufleece from Heart of England but you do have to buy large quantities eg 45m x 90cm. There is an on-line catalogue so worth a look. I have found a good price & excellent service on Marathon thread but they will not supply if they already supply to someone local to you. Hope that makes sense. Company called etc I think near Glasgow has been recommended in the past but I can only see that they supply wholesale. I could be corrected on that.

Are you intending to buy from the UK while in South Africa or are you going to be visiting? I ask the question as if you are going to be in the UK some of us might be able to do suggest sewing places to visit for supplies. I get threads from my sewing machine dealer but also look for them when ever I am away from home. The Newport Sewing Centre has a large stock of sewing requirements. I have only bought from them when there but know they do mail order. My last mail order was from Lords as mentioned below and they were fantastic and my goods arrived on the Tues after ordering on the Sun afternoon. I bought from them as I had bought goods from their stand at the Quilting exibition at the NEC in Birmingham in the summer and was impressed with them then. Jaycotts is highly spoken about too

Thank you all for giving me lots of sites to try. My son in law is having his mother over from UK to stay and she will be coming to me for a visit. Hugs Sarah

Hi Airyfairy, Have you tried CreekCreations?. They are here in Australia. Might have to go through e-bay, but put them into your search. Lyn
