I have been working on a couple of quilts that have alot of little pcs & I got sick of running back & forth to the ironing board sew I decided to make a heavy duty pad that I could put right beside my machine. I have used insul-brite & warm & natural double layers of each & just did a X stitch to keep it together! I have to tell this is great & it's right beside me when ever I need it no more running back & forth to the kitchen every 2 mins! It's not cute but it's pratical! & I can take it to class too!

There is nothing so frustrated as up and down to the ironing board.. Great job... enjoy it.. One day i will make one for myself.

Nice. I have a chest of drawers next to my sewing machine and I've put a folded towel on top and covered it with a cotton sheet for "small pressing". I find it invaluable.

thanks I have done that too, but I usually end up taking the towel & embroidering on it!

Very nice - I need to do this for when I quilt - my iron is in my room with the embroidery machine but I quilt at the dining table in the family machine and have to go back and forth to the iron too!
