the repair shop for an annual tune up.....so the repair guy felt so badly because we have to drive an hour to get to him, he made the appointment to replace the knob so that he could replace it while we waited. So we get home at 8:30 last night and our answering machine is beeping, but we ignored it to set the machine up and when we took the cover off the machine, we discovered the entire thread holder assembly was missing.... YIKES!! Instead of being p_ssed, we just started laughing... so we played the message on our answer machine and it was our dear repair guy. He gave us his cell phone # to call right away and said he would drive to our house this morning to install the assembly.......Yes, he still has me as a customer!! I am still laughing..........what else ya gonna do??????

True, you'd have to laugh -though I'm sure some might not take it so well! Good on you for finding your 'funny bone' :)

Might as well laugh about it, besides who wants to have frown lines...lol. Glad he's coming to you to make your machine whole again especially when he's the one that messed up..some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. Hugs, Karen

Sounds like something that would happen to me, but the repairman wouldn't deliver the part! LOL

I laugh often, as it relieves the stress as well as crying! LOL Life happens; and I find myself laughing
at "life" to keep from crying! But, life is GOOD! So glad you have a caring repairman, and all is well!

Gee, sorry you are having so much trouble, but what a joy it is to be able to laugh at things. Most things are just a rough spot in the road of life. Good for you laughing at this even though it's a drag to have to wait on our machines. Hugs, Judy

YEA!!! He just left & my machine is now up & running the way it should after 2 weeks of no stitch length (it was stuck at .70mm) and got the thread assembly back on!!! I told him he ought to think about making house calls on these large machines that some people may pay a trip charge to not have to lug them to the shop, if they don't charge an arm & leg to come out......what do you think?

I have a repair guy making house calls - ideal. I have a contract for annual cleaning and servicing of my serger, pay a standard fee, and when anything goes wrong during the year he comes around and only charges for replaced parts, not for driving or hours worked. That included the time I forgot to take out a pin: he came, sharpened the knife, gave it a quick clean as well. Yearly fee € 37.50! Don't know how he can make a living on that, but his business florishes and even has contracted 2 others.

this is a great idea! I take mine in for annual visit & it is $65.00 plus 13% tax! I have to take it there & if I bring a treat I can take it back the same day!

I do understand what you are going through but you have some kind of repair guy that will come to the house. That's really great. Arlene

Every now and then one of our techs does something really, how should I say this....well, dumb. We chalk it up to sometimes you just have a brain fart! All you can do is go fix it. Glad that you got good customer support and please be sure and tell everyone in the area that might use them....;)
