Don't feel bad, these kids these days shortened everything on us, someone posted a list of the shorts a week or so ago. One that really got me quite a while ago was when I was on line chatting with a friend (which I rarely ever do) and she typed BRB and I am asking "what does that mean, hello, what is it", seemed like forever and she popped back with it meant "Be Right Back" so I was trying to find out about it and she wasn't even there, lol. Live and learn.

Some of the abbreviations started with texting started - it is a form of short hand - if you can understand that the reason - was to send a message - in as few letters as you could get on the screen - because it cost more - at the time - now - people use it to say what they want - faster. I just got into texting about a year ago!
I hated texting until I got my new phone that has the key board on it. I new the kids were abbreviating but I wasn't paying attention to it. I would rather call someone than text!
