I am trying to learn to digitize & since I can't sleep I tried to do this from a pc of wallpaper. I missed some spots & my dh coloured them in for me as I was abit distress about it!He said "ah come on honey you can hardly notice" HUH! I think it's quite noticable! & I am disapointed but I turned it into a bag, which is too big anyway! Ever have one of those days? Well it's a learning process sew I guess I should have done a practice stitch out first.I know it probably doesn't look like it but I am getting a bit better @ digitizing.maybe I should stick to the easy stuff, what do you think?

Digitizing isn't easy Loralye - if you ask me - so if you are just learning and you didn't get your fill stitch dense enough - that is a learning process - test stitching is advisable - so you learn with this project, too. Kee; on stitching.

thanks, I'm not sure how to go about fixing it though as I scanned it in my sewing program & then I had to go to paint & edit the whole thing there, once I saved it & went back to the program I can't get it back in paint & then back to my sewing program?I can go to one or the other but not both anymore?

I think this is a fairly easy design to start with, but digitising is not easy. If you want to get better results there's only one option: test stitch, put a note on them with the settings you used: density, pull compensation, # of the filling stitch, stitch length, etc. Change some of the settings, test again, make notes again and build your own library of tests and use them as a reference. It saves time in the long run.
If there are odd corners that miss stitches: vary the stitch angle slightly, 2 or 3degrees may make just enough difference to fill the area correctly. Watch it stitch out in your software: that gives a rough first impression, and major defects can be corrected immediately; minor details can only be seen when you stitch the design.
And outlines are a nightmare to most beginners and even experienced digitisers have problems at times. It's no wonder so many designs use narrow satin stitch outlines and not bean (triple) stitches or double runs.
I ALWAYS test stitch my designs and having a perfectionist streak I seldom test only once.

Oh, that was a long answer. I liked the design, just wanted to tell how you could refine it.
My grandma used to remind me: Köln and Aachen weren't built in a day. I'd rather go for quick results. :)

no I appreciate your response very much, not to sure I understand most of it but I appreciate it none the less.I have a Janome 10001 & I use the Digitizer 2000, I am very much a "rookie" I will definately remember to practise first!Thanks ,Hugs Loralye

I believe that digitizing is quite difficult and takes masses and masses of practice. I have absolutely no desire to try it and I am just happy to have all the wonderful digitizers on Cute to digitize for us. I think for your first attempt you did well.
