Traditional Hessenstickerei, sometimes confused with Schwälmer Stickerei, is a texture bound whitework with elements of "cutwork", achieved by pulling threads out of the fabric.
A machine done FSL Crochet design (folk art style) inserted to a linen will imitate the look best.
