Happy Birthday to me! I'm snowed in @ home-roads impassable with 5 ft.+ drifts -my husband snowed out, plowing snow off the highways, haven't seen him since monday. Thank the Lord for cell phones.

Happy Birthday TamTam - I do hope that you are okay alone in all that snow - the best thing to do is stay inside when the weather is like that - thank you DH for all of us - they hardly ever get the thanks the deserve.

Happy Birthday Tamtam! You need to fix yourself a cke and just celebrate by yourself. Have a party and try to forget about how severe the weather is right now. When your worn out hubby gets home and has some down-time for a few days, then maybe the weather will be better and the two of you can get out and do something together. I have no idea where you are but I was just snowed and iced in for 3 days in the South. I live in the Atlanta, Ga area and we were iced in because the roads were impassable. We have no idea how to handle severe conditions in winter because it is such a rare event. I think the main problem here was that we have so little equipment and the guys running the heavy equipment do not really have a grasp on what to do and when to do it. By the time they got the machines out there and running, the highways and roads were thick with ice and no one could get anywhere. A few yrs ago, I would never even thought about getting stuck inside because of the ice and snow. I think this snuck up on all of us! Just pray that your hubby and all of the others get through this and back home with no accidents and healthy with no colds or flu! I was shocked at the weather reports from Texas this morning. That kind of cold temps with ice and snow is just not heard of in the South! Be careful and keep safe and I will say my prayers for you and hubby and for all of the people involved.
