It is two sided. I stitched the tail end with glow in the dark green thread - just like the lightning bugs. I made a pocket made of the plastic tablecloth material you can get at Wal*mart and made 6 Lightning Bug charms to store in the pocket. I also used the glow in the dark thread for the work bioluminesence and for his name and for the little message to him. It was soooo much fun and it turned out great! Next time, I would put the stuffing in a little lined pillow inside, instead of just loose inside. I used florescent green thread on the decorative stitching around the edge, and added a hidden zipper too. Thank you Yoriko for the great Lightning Bug designs!

I just laughed and giggled as it was coming together. I had to take it into the closet and see how it glowed. I imagined him hiding the lightning bugs and having someone find them. It definitely has a play quality. Thanks for all the positive comments!

That looks really fantastic! Perhaps you could upload the pic/s in projects, as well, in case others are looking for inspiration who may not read the 'questions' section here. Well done on a great cushion. I'm sure you are a super-popular Grammy!

Yoriko, You just make the BEST FSL anywhere! I had some of your little FSL Lightning Bug charms in my purse. There was a lady at the checkout who was friendly and she looked tired. I gave her one of the lightning bugs and she was delighted! She said she hadn't seen one since she was a little girl. It really made her day. It was such a surprise for someone to give her something! That's something I really like about FSL, you don't have to sew them ON something. Being Free Standing, you can carry them in your bag and give them to anyone who needs a little pick me up. My love language is "Gifts" so I think that is why I love FSL! Thanks, Yoriko, I'm so glad I found you!
