said a little prayer for god to guide his hand, it kinda made me feel safe. all went well but i have a longer incision than they thought, my hand has swollen to almost 3 times its normal size but as long as i'm still it doesnt hurt, but when i move it;s not much fun. my cats keep stepping on my arm and making me cry. i think they are trying to make it better. i'll be fine soon at least the scarey part is over, i can handle the pain, me ex beat me often enough that i kinda got used to it. my huuby has been teriffic, even running around in the middle of the night naked getting ice for my arm. see i had a floor show! hahahahahaouch thanks for the prayers....

Good to know you are home with the cats taking care of you. Well, at least they are in their mind. You stay still and let eveything heal properly. Enjoy the floor show. Take your meds to get the pain under control. Don't be silly and be stoic. Prayers continue for a speedy recovery and quick rlief of pain. Loved hearing the doctor prayed with you beore the surgery.

So happy that doctor prayed for the both of you so that you were more confident about the surgery. Sorry you're having so much pain and your cats stepping on you is not helping that situation at all, but you're their mom and they're looking after you...so they think. Will be praying for your speedy recovery, in the meantime enjoy the floor show.

Karen, I am glad you are in good hands. I was worried about you and even asked last night if anyone had heard from you! Glad the operation is over and you are now in the healing stage! As for your late night entertainment, all I have to say is that if if keeps your spirits up, let hubby continue to do "off the wall" things. heehee I am sure that the meds will also keep you in a "out of it" state of mind for a few days and maybe by then the pain will subside alot! Keep us posted. By the way, I had confidence in the Dr. but I was worried about you because you were in such a down state of mind when you last posted. Just think of how much better you will feel when it has healed! Many blessings and little pain! Linda

It's too early in the morning for such mind-boggling news such as a naked ice-seeking man running around your bedroom but I'm so glad that you are on the other side of your surgery now and that you are on the mend. Also I'm so impressed that the doctor asked for guidance to do his very best for you.
Here's wishing you continued and complete recovery....

Wow, that was quite a visual! I could see your naked man and these cats and ice cubes! Ha he heee. Anyway. I'm glad the surgery is over and now it is all healing and getting better and being spoiled. If you have cats, and a hubby who is willing to pamper you, you will make it. Just don't try to do too much too soon. Hugs and more prayers. Jan

Wonderful that the anxiety is over! Now, it's time to
rest and heal! A nice experience to hear your doctor ask for the Lord's help in doing your surgery well. I see too many doctors that are arrogant, too full of "themselves", and do not like to be asked questions. Yours is quite exceptional! I am happy the surgery is over. The pain and soreness will pass in a few days. Heat pad felt much better to my arm after surgery, and seemed to help aleviate a lot of the pain; the first few days especially. I know ice packs are recommended for
swelling, but the cold made my pain worse. Hang in there, you will be good as new soon!!

Get well soon. I know that God was watching over you and also know what it is like to have a sore arm. I broke mine a few weeks ago and it still aches. Will be glad to get the plaster cast off as the weather is hot and humid where I live. Keep smiling

I don't know what surgery you had but make sure you keep good capillary refill in your nails and can wiggle and feel with those figers. You don't want to end up with compartment syndrome. 3 times normal size is pretty swollen. Hope you recover quickly. Good luck!
