Hi all South Africans - was a burp cloth called "oopsie doek" in Afrikaans??

My friend also calls them "spoeg lappie" and I made them for her GD from glodinia nappies with crochet around the edges with a small embroided name.They were much posher than the shaped skinny ones.I also did crochet edges around all the receiving blankets.

I also know that it was called a 'spoegdoekie', and some called it a 'ounooi'

Spoeg was the word I was looking for.
I need to do some soon and found a shaped pattern when fits to the curve of the neck. Ta for your info
