the first one was a disaster!& I was actually terrified to try it again. But after doing Christies heart sew many times & gained a bit more confidence in my self, sew I thought I would jump right in! Well my machine was pretty noisey but this is the end result! I am pretty surprised @ how pretty it is in real life! That sounds sew funny but I mean as opposed to just a picture. The pictures never really look as good as the finished product I guess. My gd suggested that I add the ribbon & beads.

Loralye, more than likely your machine was noisey because of the density in this design - I have stitched this design many times - I usually have pretty good luck with it - it looks lovely in many different colors, too. You did great - keep on stitching - with each FSL design you tackle you will gain more and more confidence - and you are very right about that the pictures never do the item justice - they are so much nicer in person - than in a picture. I thinkyour daughter has a great flair for helping out with sort of thing, too. *4U Keep on stitching.

thanks Shirlene but it was actually my gd granddaughter, she is 11 yrs old. Well I have 2 of them but Ava is only 19mths.My gd loves to come over & help me try "NEW THINGS"

Lovely bookmark. I have to warn you though. Making FSL is addictive. I only started making lace 2 weeks ago and can't stop doing it!

You too are absolutely right! I want to do more, but i have sew much to do already! I can't get to far behind or I won't get things done for Christmas 2011.

hey I have been afraid to retry doing fsl for about 6 years now & finally I practised enought to think I could do it again, sew if I can do it anyone CAN, SEW GIVE IT A TRY! YOU MAY BE LIKE ME & SURPRISE YOURSELF!

Now I did go to the link at Shirlene's website but it only shows she has stitched it out and no mention as to where the design came from.
I checked Emb Lib and it is not from there.
Could you please tell us where the Heart bookmark is from??
