the version I have does not SAVE AS..ART. I don't use that particular format-I use JEF.- I only know that it isn't there because my mom couldn't convert one of her downloads to ART and I thought I coulde do it for her on mine-nope-couldn't do - =O( sorry mom

I wonder why it won't save as ART. Next time I have something to convert I will give it a try. I use PES so don't have that bother. Hope you have found something. Best Wishes,
Lyn

I'm interested in knowing the answer to this myself. I've been using Wilcom to convert to EXP, then converting that to ART through my Bernina software. I really wish there was an easier way!

Sorry but you need Bernina Software to make ART files.
Ambassador will however allow you to make already ART files to other formats.

Bernina Art Link will convert. It works very similar to Pulse, and it is free also.

Bernina has made their ART format very exclusive so it is difficult to find software to convert to ART. If you just need a design or two converted to ART I would be happy to do that for you. Just email me at meringuedesigns@gmail.com

But even when I just had the basic Bernina software (Editor Lite) I could open any other format, so maybe ART isn't needed? But what do I know?! ;0 cynthia

this is what I don't understand,I asked 3 bernina dealers,1st said only art,2nd said art,hus & pes could be used,3rd said she's never heard of that but maybe I should consider a R7000,upgrade???

thank you so much for your offer,I have a ton of patterns(being addicted,as you all are!!) that I can't use at the moment, you really are a wonderful person,as are all cuties.

It depends on the machine. My Bernina 830 will read .exp and .dst. My first Bernina embroidery machine (the 440) had to be hooked up to the laptop and could only read ART. Clear as mud?

Have you tried using the dst format? Many machines will read that type file.
