This is a wall hanging I made for Dad's 80th, entitled, Memories of a country life. I changed it slightly to suit Dad. Guess what , we won 1st prize at the local show. Took me 1 FULL week of machine applique, not much sleep, but rewarded with the smile on Dad's face.

Thankyou Teri, Yes he was very proud. I even got a special card sent from Dad expressing his feelings, as he has touble expressing verbally.

I am so glad u were able to do this. I lost my dad 2 yrs ago & I came across something I was going to do for him but didn't get around to it. This will mean so much to you & Him. u deserve a big bunch of flowers for this beautiful piece of work

Lovely idea, I love to tell stories with my embroidering. It is even better when everyone else can see the same picture you are trying to say.
