After I download the free design from Cute emb. the design goes directly into downloads. How can I get these designs into a CD-RW. I do believe these designs are zipped.

You may have to unzip them first. There is a free program called jZip that will unzip them and then I found a free program to open them so you can see them on your computer. It is called Pulse Ambassodor. I have not saved to cd but I have to a flash drive. I hope this helps.

Any help I can get is genuinely appreciated. I will print out these answers for future reference. Taking computer lessons to be more knowledgeable. I am so happy for this web site.

Burning Cd's is very easy, but the steps are different depending on what computer you have. Is it a PC or a Mac?
I found these instructions for a PC, but there is something wrong with the link because I've tried to paste the URL on the "add links" and it did not work. So I will just post it here on the message. I hope it works.

Oh, BTW, when I download designs from this site, they have never been zipped... now I am puzzled.

Here on Cute the designs are unzipped. You can save them straight to your CD. When you hit download and pick your format up comes a pop up window. The pop window will ask you to save. Once you hit save another window will come up and at the top it will have a bar with a drop down arrow. Hit the drop down arrow and chose where you want to save it. You can then pick the CD. I save all my designs on external drives/usb sticks. In your case CD drive. I make folders for different types of designs like animals, kitchen, quilting, kids, etc. I then chose the respective folder and it will open then hit save and it goes in that folder. If you go to a site that has zipped designs, you will need to unzip the designs before saving to your CD. Hope this helps some.

Thank you very much, Really appreciate this reply. Just changed to Windows 7 on my PC. I always clicked on zipped so that would be part of my problem also. Much appreciated for your reply.
