My husband gave me some fantastic Japanese scissors which feel wonderful to hold and slice through fabric like a knife through butter. I have to wait for my present from my younger daughter as when we went to where she wanted to buy me a present the shop was shut. There have been very bad winds and the roof had started to blow away. Someone was hit by a flying tile but was able to walk to the ambulance. The whole road was shut on Monday too, which must have caused chaos as the alternative route was closed because of flooding.
