Thank you I was more scared of what might happen then what was actually happening. We were lucky we went to my brother in laws brick home not so loud.

I have survived earthquakes and tornados but can't emagine how frightened I would be in floods and cyclones! So happy all is well with you.

floods are nothing. I would be more scared of earthquakes and tornados, some compared the cyclone to haricane katrina but I don't know.

Thanks for the update and I'm glad you weren't injured or had worse damage to your home. We watched the overseas news in fear that worse things were happening to people already in dire straits. The aftermath of the cyclone is still being felt as the waters course their way to and down the Murray.
No power and no water for so long must have been a real hardship, especially with so much water pouring down on your area.
It must have been a very frightening experience. It's comforting news, indeed, that you came through it so well. Waiting for Yasi to hit must have been a terrible time, not knowing what would happen.
I'm hoping that all our Queenslander Cute Members survived as well as you have.
Now I'm hoping any Cute Members along the Murray aren't ceiling-deep in muddy water as the floods spread.
So glad to see you back on deck again..... :}

Glad to hear that you are okay. I am in Toowoomba and we missed the kajor flooding that the town had. Had lots of water about the town but only damage in the centre of town. We have an easement on our property that had one and a half metres of water in it at the peak of the storms. I slipped in the easement after the waters receeded and broke my arm but that is nothing compared to those who lost homes and families down the range from us. Keep well and know that God looks out for us all.
