I simply loved the Rosetta bag (you can find this pattern at I CAN MAKE THAT). I have been crazy over it for a long time...then someone posted thiers on Sew Forum last week, and that's all it took! But...I like to do my own thing. So I did. I went to my roll of paper towels...and cut me out a pattern! Then went upstairs and put it together. My pattern was pretty simple, just two pieces. For the ruffles, I just used 5" strips. The ruffles were done on my serger and then cut to the length I needed them to attach to the purse. I didn't splurge on fabric...the outside coordinates just came from Walmart...it was just something to practise on...the next one, I will splurge or use some of my vintage pieces. The rest came from my stash. There will be a couple things that I do different on the next one...but overall, this one came together fairly quick...especially, putting it together during the first part of our week when we are quite busy in our cleaning service.
