Unless I'm confusing what you are asking, a .bmp (bitmap) is a picture, whereas a .sew is a Janome embroidery file, so you'd need to digitize the design from the picture. You may need a .bmp or possibly a .wmf file as a basis on which to create an embroidery design. Hope this helps.
