are bubble on the surface. As this fabric is available per metre can I make my own or is it dangerous to use synthetics(lined with cotton knit).

A quick google search shows that the commercial ones are polar fleece and interlock (presumably cotton.) I thought the the point of security blankets was that children chose their own and that it was usually the most disreputable (and embarassing) piece of cloth in the house!

I always called them "drag blankets" as the kids drag them everywhere! They even look like they have been dragged through the dirt! I think moms can kinda "make" a fav blankie or stuffie by always bringing it along. Lord help you if you forget it! One small child can reign down terror when it goes missing--*I* know!

Never knew there was such a thing but went to buy a "shower gift" and saw these. Size of a baby face cloth with four satin ribbon "tags" on each side. Selling at nearly $8.00 each - for us that's expensive-when you conside it uses a 10inch square of fabric, interlock lining and a yard of ribbon! Am I stingy or what? You can buy beautiful face cloths at the Chinese/dollar store for a dollar?
