I've sewn on faux suede - no problem. If yours is a little thicker than usual just use a metallic needle for more strength. By the way the holes don't disappear like with cotton or knit.

I've only sewn on it a few times, but cj2sew is correct. The holes do not mend, so sew carefully. Also use a long stitch length. You don't want to perforate the fabric. Good luck and have fun with it.

I have posted an ultra suede and leather project here. I found them both very easy to sew on, no special techniques were needed, just like they said, make sure the design doesn't have a bunch of jumps that would leave holes that would not be covered.<br />http://projects.cuteembroidery.com/5419995/Key-Fob.html

I think this is what is considered faux suede and I did nothing special with needles or thread.

These are very pretty. I'd love to do a checkbook cover but mine checkbook seems to be oversized for the current ITH projects out there.

Wow this is great information Ladies, thank you all sew much. Can anyone show me something that have done on the faux suede? I see the card holders but it looks like it was done on top of a pc of cotton first? Did you use a stabilizer or is it enough on it's own?
