You could always put his call sign on there. Each operator has a unique sign (like a radio station). I've attached a link where all you really need to know is his name and his city and state and it should pull back his call sign for you. My call sign is KD4ECH, so his should look somewhat similar. You could also use Morse Code (dots and dashes for his name) because originally thats what Ham Operators did was relay messages using Morse Code - and sometimes still do today - tho not very often. I've already forgotten all the code I had to learn to get my license!! Good Luck - sounds like fun :) Can't wait to see the finished project!!!

Thanks i am going to put his letters on my designs!!
I guess it would have helped to see where you lived first!!! The link I sent was for the US but I'm sure Canada has something similar - I just don't have any idea what it is.... sorry!!! It is so cool that we can all live so far apart yet be so close together :)

Actually a amateur radio is like a ham radio, a stationary radio that is a hobby by some people. Depending on their towers they can talk with people from long, long distances. What would be super neat if you could get his call numbers.....
IF you could get that and a photo, or little drawing, or brand name and model, I'll bet someone here could do a simple design of it. He would be amazed! If no one else can, I would do it..... But I'm not the best....

I'll try this again. If you go to Henry's Home Page at the bottom there is a section of Ham Radio designs. I have sewn some of them out before and they are quite nice...Check it out...<br />Sandy
