Congratulations, and I have been on for over 3 years - I can not believe it. But, I too, did not start communicating until later, and did not get my membership until February, 2008. Time does seems to fly by.

Time does fly. I have been here now for over 2 years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Think of all the friendships you have formed, all of the people you have met that you would not have otherwise if it weren't for the Cute site. Congratulations! Time flies doesn't it? I have been here one year as of Feb 4th! Love this site, Miss Veronika and everyone who has been so kind to me since day one! This is the only embroidery site I go to daily and I spend much of my day here being bad!
It took me exactly 2 weeks to ask my first question!

Help!!! Yikes!!!! Crikey!!!! and Oh My Goodness!!

I've lost an entire year.

I just checked and I joined on May 8, 2009. I know that I opened my brand new embroidery unit on April 30, 2009, so I must have done some slick internet hunting and decided that this was the place to be.
I really thought that I waited to join a lot longer than that, but once I became a member I have on-paid my membership a couple of times to make sure that I don't forget and lose any fun. This is what I'm going to continue doing for as long as I can. The same applies to Amazing Embroidery Designs.

Chris - have you noticed how Veronika's designs have progressed and changed in those four years? I've noticed in my nearly-two-years' membership that her designs have matured and become sophisticated, more interesting and very beautiful. Those ones I've used have stitched out perfectly without a moment of doubt.

I am in the process of downloading all of Veronika's designs, just to have them, just a few pages at a time - internet usage time and all that. Yes, I am in the midst of yet another 'grand collection'. I often see requests for certain designs and very often those requests could be met by using the designs that are here on Veronika's sites. I'm at a loss to help those people, though, because I can't remember where the designs are and the pages change over time.

As well as the lovely designs and the generosity of Veronika with more than occasional free ones, I, too, am enjoying the camaraderie experienced here every day. I take an interest in the lives of people I've never met, I watch the progress of the DBC digitisers and I join in the messages when I can.

Veronika's vision has given us all a medium by which we can meet on a common stage and be 'one' with each other through our love of this wonderful craft. Where else would I have learnt a smattering of Spanish, Dutch, German, French and Italian phrases? I count my 'friends' from all walks of life on all continents, thanks to this site, I aspire to their talents and skills and I am grateful every day that I was led to this internet meeting place.

I thoroughly endorse your thoughts, Chris.
