Help please. What is the difference between "general" and "personal"? Thank you for your help.

Personal is where we should put our non-embroidery personal posts such as: I'm having surgery, my relative died, I'm having a sad day, etc.
The problem is that not a lot of people remember or find the time to look at personals so I think that's why the personal stuff gets posted in the first section where some people would prefer to look for embroidery related things.

That is what I thought but I had asked the question before and got an answer that basically said to post where you would want to. It depended on the poster if they decided it was personal. I used to read personal all the time since I felt it was important. Since so many are posted in General I often forget to read the Personal.

Sewmom, since "general" is such a missmash. Do you think that Veronika would consider putting up one that is just "embroidery"? That would make it so much easier to sort out what one is interested in at "Cute". H&*

I would love to have a section for embroidery questions only. I learn so much from the experts answers. I used to think that was what the general area was for.

General is for embroidery & sewing news or something pertaining to the CUTE family relating to either sewing or embroidery and private is for everything else. (However, to get everyone to post that way - might take a miracle.)

I think it would be awesome if we had a section just for embroidery and when I started here the conversation was all about the freebies and how General should only be about embroidery. In order to keep it that way Personal was also created along with the Freebie Tab. I love the Personal tab because we are a family and I would like to pray, celebrate and cry with my Cutie family. General has really gotten bogged down with so many items that should be in personal. Freebies and Projects Tabs are working well maybe we can even get the Personal going. Truthfully I am confused about this one too.

Sounds like cuties might take to the idea of embroidery as a tab would seem easier. General is just that and you get confused as to where to post what.

Good point! When I was new I was confused most of the time! Maybe General could be named Embroidery.

Maybe personal should be the first tab, then embroidery, freebies and private. There are too many frebies being posted in general, takes too long to get through and find embroidery related topics for discussion. Maybe we could have "ISO" insearch of, tab too. Helen
