Sticky tear away stabilizer. I have never heard of it and where can you buy it? How well does it work?

Thank you

Locally, you can buy it lots of places - including Joanns(they carry the Solvy Sticky tear-away). You can also get it at Mulqueens (East Mesa) or 35th Ave Sew & Vac (Chandler). I have been getting my sticky Vilene from WorldWeidner.com and have been happy with it - have not tried the tear-away sticky from them but I know they carry it. I prefer wash-away sticky when I do my projects (for anything that can be washed). Be sure to take the tear-away kind off right after you finish sewing and be prepared to pick off tiny little pieces if your have an open design. Those reasons are part of why I prefer the wash-away to the tearaway.

I use Perfect Stick from Floriani. I like it best for T-shirts, fleece; no hooping anything but the stabilizer. I get it from my dealer. I don't think the JoAnn in my area carries the Solvy one. I'll have to check at the JoAnn Super Store in Pittsburgh next time I'm there and give it a try.
