This is very interesting but I would have to ask what would it do to your machine..I have to have mine cleaned every 4-6 months I do so much sewing and its always a mess..I wonder if sewing on wood would cause the machine to gum up or anything..Im going to check with my dealer and see..hhheee heeee

lr, please read the article and of coarse check it out with your dealer. I am sure it is really lightweight wood. *4U

The Balsa is light grade..and it can't hurt your machine...it is no heavier than a towel ..I just use an ordinary sewing needle though..cheers Dianne
