it and had to tie it together with string, but it cannot tighten enough and the material puckers when I embroider on it. I really hope somebody will have some advice. Thanks in advance. Hugs, Babsie

oops i to have done this, just to get you through until you get some new ones ( they arent that expensive) i keep a spare one at all time you could try some plumbers tape around the screw part the tighten just enough to stop material puckering and slipping. Hope this helps it did work for me .

Thanks, I did try to get the screw out, but could not - will take it to the hardware store tomorrow and hope they can help me. If I get a screw that fit, I'll definitely buy spares.

I have been using a bread wrapper wire. I wrapped it around the two sides and tightened it. I have to change how tight it is depending on the thickness of the material I am using. But so far it holds in place while I embroider. Been lucky so far. Nanc

I did this too and got away with tieing it but I did buy a new hoop because it was my sisters! I'm pretty sure you can replace the screw if you go to Home Depot/ Ace Hardware or any good hardware store, just carry the bolt with you to try the new screw!
