I made these for my GS with scraps from the quilt I made him. I used a free pattern from Connecting Threads which can be found here:

http://www.connectingthreads.com/patterns/Baby_Talk_Flannel_Quilt_Pattern____D991077.html
Click on the “download pattern" in the upper right hand corner. Adobe reader will load pattern for quilt, scroll down, the ball pattern is at the bottom.

Apparently the link won't take you directly there, but Look down this list and see the more complicated way to grab the pattern. *4 U

Love the colors you used Deb. I remember making one of these for my 1st daughter when she was a baby-she thought it was more fun to roll it at the cat and have the cat run off and hide it-than to actually play with it lol ~linda~

Okay, Connecting Threads is making it difficult to access the pattern so here's the way to get it: click here:http://www.ConnectingThreads.com/patterns/quilting_patterns.html On the left hand side of the page there is "free patterns (134)" click that, once that page comes up, look in the top right for pages 1-6, click on page 6, find "BABY TALK FLANNEL TALK QUILT Pattern. NOW, upper right has a box with DOWNLOAD PATTERN in it.....the rest of the directions I gave you about scrolling to the bottom is correct. Sorry about that.
