You have to have a program to be able to do more than one letter at a time. I have a Viking Designer 1 that has a program to do this. Someone with a Brother machine should be able to help you out.
Welcome!!!

primabtutus, WELCOME to the CUTE family. I don't have a Brother machine either - do you happen to have a PC Program - if so - in that program you might have a edit & layout section - where you can bring more than one design into it - one at a time - then you edit them or place them in the location that you want to combine them - then save them with a new name - then bring them into your USB or memory card to your machine. I hope this helps - if not - I do hope someone that has a Brother machine comes along to assist you.

This is something you can try for free...30 days or x amount of saves, trial...this will let you combine your letters to make words and then save them as a separate design file that you can send to your flash drive to embroider.

I do have brother machines but mine uses the ped basic card reader
The software allows you to combine the alphabets that you purchased and not the ones that came on your machine. Sorry I should have been a little more clear on the matter..I just figured you were wondering how to combine the ones you bought and not the ones that came with the machine...oops..sorry

Welcome to CUTE... I have a brother 1500 and a 750 I figured out how to do a word from fonts, but it does take time. You have to put up each letter in your machine, then click on each and edit to where you want it to be, then put the next letter in your machine and click it and it will come up beside the first letter, then you have to move it around to where you want it to be, like I said it takes time and patience, but it can be done. You have to sometimes rotate them to fit. Hope that was a bit helpful. Hugs Terre

Hello
I have a Brother Innovis 900. I am not familiar with your machine. However, if it helps I will explain the way mine works. It came with a few fonts, but like yours when working directly from the machine itself, one has to put (press the letters) manually to create a name or sentence. Sentences are of course limited. I think this process is the same with most machines (but I maybe wrong)
I think you need a programme or software in order to work letters linking your machine to a computer. Assuming your fonts are in your format I think it will work the same way as my designs. I download my designs to a desktop folder. I create another folder and drag the zip file into there, then I unzip it, deleting any formats other than mine (Pes) Once done, I place the designs where they are to stay and then drag a design from there into the drive window which serves my machine, the icon design appears in my sewing machine window.
Having done this, I now wanted to add text to some designs. In order to do this, I downloaded a 30 day free trial of Alphabet Xpress found at www.annthegran.com. This software is the easiest I have found. It maybe because I am not good at retaining information, given my life is so stressful at the moment. I would visit this site and read about Alphabet Xpress, I am sure this software will help you.
I hope this has helped a little.
Best wishes

Welcome to cute!
I have a brother but not the same as you have. If you have the design software for brother ( PE design) you can make the text in this software. If it's possible to place more designs in one emboidery you can load tha complete alpha or the letters you need on the USB and place them letter by letter to the text you need. Good luck!

I can not answer your question because I have a Singer and 2 different BabyLocks. Singer and 1 BabyLock uses memory cards and the newest BabyLock will take a floppy disc straight from the computer or a memory card. It is so much easier to use the disc straight from the computer!

I have the Brother 280D and my sister in law has the 400. You will have to have software to put the fonts together or just put one in your machine at a time and place them on your project. I use Stitch Era Universal to join my fonts together and then save the project. It also has lots of fonts that you can use to make projects. I love it. It is free from many places. Just time in Stitch Era Universal and it should bring up websites where you can get it. Hope this helps a little. Nanc

Welcome to cute! Hope you have figured this out. I have a brother 680D. It uses a memory card, but I have SewWhat Pro 64 to put my font's and designs together then save them as one design. My sister in law has the 400 and she had to buy some sort of software to transfer designs from the computer to her machine. Hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do.

Welcome to Cute, you will love it here, everyone is so helpful! I have the SE-350, it doesn't use the usb but uses a card so I have PED-basic. I can only combine letters that came on my machine. Try the free program vl2sew gave, I am going to download it tomorrow and see if I can get some of the letters I have to combine. Good luck and enjoy the new addiction!
