Has anyone ever tried to embroider on balsa wood b4? I heard it was possible, so jus had to try. Here is the result. The angel is 75.3 x 45.9 and 2433 stitches. Feel free to use idea. Hint hint, you know who you are. Wink!

joanie, I like that you tried a project that no one had posted before - thank you - I had posted a website that had info on embroidery on wood and hoped that someone might try it. Hehehe! I haven't found any balsa wood for me to try it. I love that little angel - it is one of my favorite ones. I like this stitched on a card, too! *4U

Oh, as you can tell by latest project I did hit that site. After my request above I did a search on Google and found it... purchased a couple rose designs specific for cards. TY

I used a glue stick to the top and bottom edge of the back of the wood and glued it to only one layer of med tear away... have to check about site Shirlene mentioned for more ideas for I like this (hubby even thought it was neat)
