embroidery some really cute things and sayings on them pertaining to lunch things. Well, I just finished my first one and it has taken me over 2 hours!!!!!!!!! It turned out adorable and I will post it tonite in projects, but way too much time. My problem is because they are so small (only a 10 inch opening) that when I turn it inside out and use the 4x4 hoop I can barely get it under the head of my machine pulling the top of the bag back. The headframe on the 8 series bernina's are tall so I have to squish the top of the bag and pull it back at the same time and hold it like that the whole time it is stitching. There is NOTHING I can use to hold it......I wish it hadn't turned out so cute as I would chuck the idea and not do the rest....thank goodness I only ordered 5!!! Vicki, it does sound like alot of work - but if in the end - you are satisfied - then it is worth it - will watch for it later.

Sometimes you just cannot figure out how to get mebroidery on something without a lot of trouble, but when you succeed and you're satisfied you are glad to do the effort. Good luck

You could try opening a seam to embroider and re -stitch when you get the design done. I do agree that if you like your end results it will be worth the time and the trouble.

For a fleeting second I did think of this but they are constructed so well and with the 2 layers of fabric (fabric and insulated lining) I didn't want to goof up sewing it back together as my sewing talents aren't the greatest. I wish they were as this would be the best option!!

can you not make the design on patches? or if they are really dense and have alot of under stitching they may have enough already to be like a fsl. Then embroider them a toile or another sheer fabric and then use steam a seam on the back to make a patch.

Now my machine keeps lousing up on thread and doing stuff it normally doesn't do just to make me have to take the hoop out......LOL!! Stupid thing...it's a challenge now..am on my 2nd one and am using one of Veronika's designs from quite some time ago....it's a cutie!!

I agree with BayDreamer about making an embroidered patch to attach. I have only done one patch to put on an item, but it looked good! It held really firm

This is what you do, even if they take 2 hours each when you sell them just charge $49.95 for each bag. That will make all your hard work worthwhile and I'll bet you'll feel great too. LOL

Since you don't want to undo a seam, just embroider on tulle, cut out and use fabric glue. I used the glue for a project, washed it, and it held. I was afraid it might not hold.
