experience with TENs units. I hope you never have to use one. It is a small unit, battery driven, with wires attached to it. The wires are attched to electrodes which are placed on the painful area of the body. In my case it is my lower back or neck area, whichever 1 needs the attention the most. When it is turned on, it sends electrical stiulationto the painful area. It eats up the pain messengers so I don't feel the pain any way near as bad as I do without it. The interesting thing about it is you put it on a part that is not painful, the unit causes pain. Go figure.

thank you for the information. And I am glad that you are feeling better...I love to go to church and sometimes I wish it were just everybody singing...cause that is when I am able to have my mind truly on God and clear of everything else.

I have had experience with a TENs unit. My husband had to use one for awhile after being hit by a tire, rim and all. I also used to work in a pain clinic (billing manager) so I am fairly familar with these units. Glad you are feeling better and pray you have continued improvement.

I saw on a current affairs program that there is a new system that works even better, at first when the story came on my reaction was "that's just a tens unit, they have been around for years". But as the story progressed I realized it was new technology, I can't remember what it was called. I am always yelling at the television when the current affairs program is on because it if so full of hyped up nonsense, I probably shouldn't watch it.

I would like to know more about using it for migraines. My sister uses it for pain in her hand which is the aftermath of having shingles. But if it works for migraines my daughter shoud have one too.

I have never heard of the TENS UNIT. But I hope that I will never need one. Pain can make you grouchy and tired. It wears you out! Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better.
Hugs Dawn Flower for you!
