I want to embroidery on my spare wheel cover, it is vinyl and quite thick, does anyone have any advice about hooping stabilizing etc... before I start.

Hi Alice, My steering Wheel cover is also thick with wadding, but fabric. I didn't use any stabilizer but it was hard to hoop. Not sure how you would go hooping vinyl. Someone will come up with a suggestion. Good Luck and let us know how you get on. Lyn

Alice, I don't think I would hoop it, but not sure what stablizer to use, I am sure someone will come along soon with the correct way....or the best way. Hugs Sally

I would use a sticky stabilizer and a leather needle.:)

I would hoop a stabilizer - could be a sticky or use adhesive to adhere your vinyl - then be careful not to use pins - as they can cause holes - use a leather needle and for good measure - on vinyl - because it is so soft - I would use a WSS topping.

I don't have a leather needle. I will have to phone my supplier.
