I took my machine in for it's reg tune-up & $80. later it was fixed but I was to expect this to be a repeat problem. I have heard this is the case for some others 2 I have Janome 10001 & I have had it since 2004. It was suggested that O lok into buying a seperate bobbin winder sew here we are!

I have 1 that I have never used. My machine can wind bobbins while it is sewing. Why did I buy it? Because it was on sale. I would be happy to mail it to you. It is a Wrights Side Winder.

I have the side winder. I hate to wind bobbins on the machine. Love this thing. So fast. Got it at JoAnn's with my 40% off coupon. But that's the only way I can afford to shop there. They are sooooooooooooo dang expensive.

I have the side winder - got it at Joann with a coupon a while back. There is a new deluxe version of the side winder that will do bigger spools, etc. - have not used it myself. I reuse prewounds and my machine itself will not wind that size bobbin so the side winder is wonderful for me!
