this is the best thing since sliced bread. I get as much thread as possible on these. If not I use a piece of invisible scotch tape to hold it in place. Does NOT stick to thread. About a 2" piece and fold one end down for a "handle". Been doing that since day 2 of embroidery.

my shop owner told us about several spools with this feature, so I look for it now when buying threads....
