Made a promise not to get married until I was 21 and to finish college so on my birthday was married to a guy I had only knew for five months. He had served in the service with a buddy's wife I worked with. Some said it wouldn't last but 38 years later we are still best of friends and there for each other. Doing the math that makes me 59 today with a 27 year old daughter and a son that will be 21 years old on Easter Sunday (April 24th).

Thank you for all my birthday and anniversary greetings. It was exciting to wake up to so many wonderful cards.. I'm excited because my son has come home (his university is on spring break this week). Between my DH and kids there have been a lot of secret calls. They are up to something. I did inadvertently guess my present that my two kids got me to my daughter and she tried to cover a hugh grin and then said not to say I knew and be surprised. We will be going out to dinner somewhere and in my birthday card and anniversary cards my brother sent me he put in two gift cards for Outback Steak. Happy ~ Happy ~ Happy Day and the sun just came out after two days of rain.

Since this post got back up to the top again I'm adding a picture of the birthday/anniversary cake. My daughter told me they charged a fee for each rose and she also told me she didn't have time to order it so she ordered it on line. (Don't think it was about the time but because it had been raining hard for a few days and she probably didn't want to get wet again since she lost her umbrella.) Thank you again for all the Happy Wishes. It went from rain to afternoon sunshine back to snow all on my special day.
